Alexandria Phoenix
Parametric Studies
Studies run with the Alexandria Phoenix components
Abstract
Each study runs a set of components through every variation worth comparing, as a Grasshopper definition built to the Phoenix standard, and records what each one draws. The definitions and their Rhino files are in the repository’s grasshopper_definitions folder.

Voronoi Studies
Every grid through Attractor Seeds and Jitter Seeds, and Scatter Seeds on its own, each grown into a Voronoi in Region: sixteen studies in one definition.

Modifier Studies
What an attractor can do to a grid: one point, three points, one curve and two curves, each driving scale, scale and rotate, scale, rotate and cull, and extruded solids.

Lattice Studies
One chord family at a time: fan, medial, star, pinwheel, and an inner ring braced to the corners, each drawn by Lattice Pattern on squares, hexes, triangles and a Voronoi.

Voronoi Pattern Studies
Four sets of seed families on one hex grid, each with the inner copy at a quarter, half and three quarters of the cell, and outgrowing it.

Field Studies
What drives the values: a point, a curve, an image and random values, the two attractor fields blended four ways, and every field stepped to four sizes, each insetting one hex grid.

Region Studies
The seven grids in four regions that are not square: a circle, an arch, an L-shape and a freeform blob, to see where each grid meets the edge.
